Why we love Masterbooks for our homeschool

*this post is not sponsored or affiliated with Masterbooks – all opinions are my own 🙂

We discovered MasterBooks when we started homeschooling in 2020. My daughter was four years old, and I was knee-deep in researching different curricula. In this post I’m going to share the highlights from my recent Youtube video where I discuss why I love Masterbooks for our homeschool, and a few things I don’t!

First and foremost, MasterBooks is an unapologetically Christian and Bible-based curriculum. As someone who holds those beliefs and wants to instill them in my children, this is the number one reason why I love them. Their entire curriculum is built on the foundation that the Bible is true, that Jesus is the Messiah, and that the gospel teachings are real. It’s refreshing to see a curriculum that boldly incorporates faith into subjects like language arts, math, science, and more. In a world that often discourages such beliefs, MasterBooks stands firm, and that’s something I truly admire.

MasterBooks is also heavy on creation-based evidence. They provide scientific resources that support the biblical account of creation. You’ll often find references to Noah’s Ark, dinosaurs, and other aspects of the creation story throughout their science curriculum. While this may be controversial for some, especially within the Christian faith, it aligns with our beliefs and provides an opportunity to teach our children about the harmony between science and faith.

Overall, MasterBooks encourages children to understand not only what they believe but also why they believe it. They aim to equip them with age-appropriate knowledge and the ability to defend their faith intelligently. It’s not about arrogance or blind adherence but about fostering a deep understanding of their beliefs.
